I still remember the first time I said,  “God, send me.” I was about eight or nine years old when my Sunday school teacher introduced us to a character who, to my young eyes, seemed a little unusual—yet undeniably fearless, full of love for people, and marked by courage. He was guided by an unshakable faith: the missionary. That day, we built airplanes out of toilet paper rolls to represent the planes that would carry us to different parts of the world to fulfill God’s will.

That familiar lyric echoed in my heart throughout these past weeks…and honestly, what a Christmas it was. This season, we had the joy of handing out over 2,000 toys, and with each one came lots of smiles.
